After our successful middle distance triathlon Granite Man 2009 the Committee are now having a well deserved rest and will be running Granite Man every other year. The next date for Granite Man is 2011, so watch this space.....
We hope everyone enjoyed the event in 2008 and 2009 and we look forward to seeing everyone at an even bigger and better Granite Man 2011.

This year the event starts at 7.00am with a mass swim start. The swim and bike course for both the sprint and middle distance events for 2009 will remain the same as it was in 2008. Please see map for revised run course for both the sprint and middle distance events.

GRANITE KIDS BEACH RACE SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER
The Granite Kids Beach Race is a sea swim/beach run format (the same as last year for those that have done this previously). The races start at 4pm on Saturday 5 September at Pembroke (immediately after the Granite Man race registration has finished). Entries are free and entry is on the day. Prizes for all competitors.
Ages 7 & 8 years - Swim 25m in the sea and then Run 300m on the beach
Ages 9 & 10 years - Swim 50m in the sea and then Run 300m on the beach
Ages 11,12 & 13years - Swim 100m in the sea and then Run 600m on the beach
Ages will be taken as age on race day.

GRANITE MAN POST RACE MEAL DETAILS
This year the post race meal/prize giving ceremony will be held at 6pm at The Imperial Hotel at Pleinmont. The price is £12.95 for a carvery meal (or vegetarian options) followed by a dessert trolley. Friends, family, competitors are all welcome - places are limited so book early.
